Good Stuff!

My deepest and sincerest condolences for your father. Good work with Reason also, tough program to use (for me at least)

I really like the development this piece has. The melody is very catchy. It takes a lot of talent to write melodies that stick out in someone's ear. I can definitely tell you engraved your soul into this piece. Great work, looking forward to hearing more of your works.

Thanks for the kind words, Kezkae. :) Reason's definitely got quite the learning curve to it but can become quite a powerful tool once you get the hang of it. :)

Good, but misclassified

Hey man, good stuff! I like the laid back feel of this and the nice chilled feel, however I do have one complaint.

This music is NOT JAZZ, so do not classify it as jazz. I'm really apalled to see that the world sees something like this as jazz. I'm not trying to say you suck, but that this is more elevator music or lounge music. NOT JAZZ. Jazz follows a blues scale and has swung notes. The saxaphone in this is playing straight 8th notes, not swinging them.

If I were to classify this, I'd say this was a be-bop or a fusion tune. It actually borders on rock and jazz, but it does not exactly fit into either one.

Now on to the positives: You've got a very smooth and flowing feel. Just like your comments it is playful and a bit of sad and happy. Your soloing is well put, I like it. The trumpet solo it's too fanfare-like. Your sax solo is a bit repetitive too. However, i see that this is lounge music, and I respect that . I don't like repetivive, but if it fits the song, then by all means do it!

Good piece of work, I like it a lot. Just re-classify this sucker and I'll be as happy as a volcano.

P.S - I'm a music major and I play Jazz Drumset, forgive me if I was too harsh on your classification of jazz. I'm here to help, not to burn your face off! =-D

Romwell responds:

Hi! Thanks for the detailed review =) I know it's not really jazz, however, there are not enough choices in the classification list. Well,I'll try to submit a 'truer' jazz in the future to restore karma =) Thanks again for the great review; NG should really allow entering custom genres.

Not Bad

I like it. Good energy mix. Just on a side note, the break at 2:07 is not a bass break, that's a drum break. High energy with catchy rythems. Good stuff

Ivan-Ether responds:

no it's definitly bass... I made the song.

Sounds Like Max 300 Japan DDR

Fast Paced Techno music, almost feels like a DDR song, like one of the really insane ones only that one japaneese kid can do, with most likely a few videos on youtube... Well anyways, the song's very fast paced, and has a very cool triplet feel break. Great work.

Nice!

Great work! Nice definite beat, and some very excellent soloing on top of it. Great stuff man, lookin' forward to some more!

Not Bad

Sweet to hear some acapella techno. You've got a definite beginning, middle, and end with a nice break and transition. Your bassline is pretty awesome too. Very well put together, but as always with any musical piece, can always be improved one way or another. Try and give the piece a little more punch. You've already made a great creative strive to make acapella music with varying pitches on the same syllable, now strive for more. Don't be content with mediocrity.

dont think i will work on this one much

Hmmm...

You're off to a good start, but it's a little hard to feel the downbeat, it feels as if you just put two songs together with it offset by just one beat. It doesn't exactly meld together, especially with the syncopated treble lines and syncopated bass. Dance music usually has definite and strong downbeats, but the beat falls all over the place here. Really try and meld the beat together. Even to an untrained ear, this will sound strange. I'm feeling that you need to line up beats 2 and 4 on ALL the tracks. The beats seem very very, ehh, jumbled, as in, it's very hard to see what you're attempting to communicate through the music (I'm a music major, and DJ). Good attempt though, looking forward to seeing more pieces that will definitly have your musical talents improved upon

Seems fine to me

nuff said, seems fine to me, techno music isn't my strong suit anyway ^^ just curious, how do you find the notes on the songs and make midis and mp3s like these?

NeverStrikesTwice responds:

im cool that way... no serously... i got them from a midi

Reminds me...

Reminds me of the song that never ends. Kinda like that music that wants to drive you insane and gets stuck in your head. I bet you were aiming for this. It's gonna be stuck in my head till 05. Thanks man!

Bad-Atom responds:

Yep, that was the plan. Bwa-ha-ha-ha!!!

Pretty good stuff!

I like it, the guitar was very relaxing, but when i heard that horn, YIKES!!!! Kinda just killed it. It's a southern mix though, so yeah. Anyways, you might want to make a calm version. That would be great! Keep this Bass/cello(?) up and the guitar and replace that guitar with something more calm. Otherwise, bravo!

Bobhellbringer responds:

Thanx For The Comments Ill Try To Make Another Version Of It Thats A Bit Calmer
